Version 5.1: New. This version is fully compatible with OS X 10.11 El Capitan. The SoftRAID application now indicates if a disk has TRIM enabled. The driver now uses only the primary disks for reading from mirror (RAID 1) and RAID 1+0 volumes if the primary disks are SSDs and some of the secondary disks are HDDs.

Excellent software for RAID management in OS X. Used version 2 in the past and could not boot from the drives. With latest version I can and I can only recommend it. Switched from hardware RAID (Drobo) to OWC enclosure with software RAID using SoftRAID 5. Manfred Ell MANI SA, Portugal February 2015.
SoftRAID 5.7 includes important bug fixes and changes that improve SoftRAID compatibility with macOS 10.14 Mojave
This version adds additional protection against Mac OS system bugs which can cause volume corruption
SoftRAID 5.7 also adds code which collects disk and computer usage information and sends it anonymously to the SoftRAID team. The user must opt-in before this data collection is en- abled. This information will be used to prioritize which features which are enhanced in future versions of SoftRAID. The disk usage information will be used to enhance the SoftRAID disk failure prediction mechanism

If downloaded file can not be extracted (file corrupted.), please make sure you have downloaded the file completely and don't use Winzip, it sucks! We would recommend using The Unarchiver.
By reason, the App does not work and can not be opened. Mostly, just Disable the Gatekeeper, and you get rid of troubles.
